About the Real Mercedes-Benz Atego 1719

The Mercedes-Benz Atego 1719 is one of Brazil's best-selling semi-heavy trucks, built at Mercedes-Benz do Brasil's São Bernardo do Campo plant — the largest Daimler commercial-vehicle factory outside Germany, and the only one that produces trucks, bus chassis, cabs and drivetrains under one roof. A 4x2 with a legal gross weight around sixteen tonnes and the OM 924 four-cylinder diesel, the 1719 is offered from the factory in a beverage-distribution configuration ideal for city delivery routes, and it was named Best Semi-Heavy Truck in the 2026 Estadão Mobility Award. The Atego family has been produced in Brazil since the late 1990s.
