About the Real Ford Cargo 816E

The Ford Cargo 816 is the entry point of Ford's Brazilian Cargo range — a cab-over light truck in the 6-to-10-tonne class, built at Ford's São Bernardo do Campo plant. The "E" denotes the Euro-5 turbodiesel version sold through the 2010s, up until Ford wound down and then ended all of its Brazilian production in 2021 after more than a century in the country. Configured here as a "boiadeiro", it carries the slatted livestock cage body used to transport cattle across Brazil's rural highways — a common and characterful sight in the country's farming regions.
